Greg Waldorf - Chief Executive Officer

Greg was the founding investor in eHarmony and as CEO, he has overall responsibility for leading all aspects of eHarmony's business. He has been closely involved with the company since its inception in 2000, recruiting several members of the executive management team and contributing to many areas of the company's development and growth. Greg brings extensive experience working with high growth companies as an entrepreneur, investor, and executive.

He has been cited on matters relating to investing and technology in the New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, and BusinessWeek among other publications and he has made numerous broadcast appearances on CNBC. Greg's entrepreneurial endeavors include being a co-founder of Startup, an east Palo Alto non-profit that has provided business training for nearly 500 aspiring entrepreneurs in that community since 1994. Additionally, Greg is a founding member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board. Greg holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Greg Steiner - President and Chief Operating Officer

Greg joined eHarmony in 2000 and oversees the day-to-day operations of eHarmony, including the technology, customer service, operations and human resources functions. Immediately prior to joining eHarmony, Greg was the vice president of operations at a venture backed B-to-B transportation marketplace, NetFreight/Cyntric. Previously, Greg spent over ten years in the logistics industry, holding senior management and executive level operations, sales and business development positions at Pacer International (Nasdaq:PACR) and Interstate Consolidation Services. Greg has a B.S. in business/finance from the University of Illinois.

Scott Ackerman - Vice President, Customer Care

Scott is responsible for further fostering eHarmony's commitment to delivering the gold standard in customer service. He brings more than 15 years of experience in managing customer care programs for several national and global consumer brands. Prior to joining eHarmony, Scott served as the vice president for customer care and call centers for Cendant where he was responsible for developing and managing customer service operations for the Orbitz, CheapTickets and Lodging.com brands. Under Scott's leadership, Orbitz ranked No. 1 in online customer experience in 2003 and 2004, and was the first travel web company to take a proactive approach and send care alerts updating customers about events that could affect their upcoming trip. Other past experience includes executive customer care responsibilities at American Airlines, Northwest Airlines and US Airways. He holds a J.D. from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University and a B.A. in business communications from Pepperdine University.

Dr. J. Galen Buckwalter - Vice President, Research and Development

Dr. Buckwalter is the primary contributor to eHarmony's current position as a world leader in research on the foundations of relationship success. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Dr. Buckwalter has become an acclaimed research psychologist and an internationally-recognized expert in the effects of hormones on brain functioning. Dr. Buckwalter is dedicated to the refinement and expansion of eHarmony's patented compatibility matching model, ensuring that it continues to be the gold standard for helping individuals identify their strongest possible match. Prior to joining eHarmony, Dr. Buckwalter served as a director of research at Kaiser Permanente, a leading HMO. Dr. Buckwalter has authored more than 100 papers in the field of psychology and holds a Ph.D. from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, where he currently serves as adjunct professor. He is also a former adjunct professor at the University of Southern California.

Joseph Essas - Vice President, Technology

Joseph is responsible for overseeing, guiding and troubleshooting the technical development, operation and growth of eHarmony. He manages the developing long-term technology strategy and all technology/architecture planning, software development, and technical operations functions. Joseph has over 16 years of experience in the information technology industry in various high-tech management positions (CTO, chief architect, and vice president of engineering). Prior to eHarmony, Joseph was vice president of engineering with Yahoo!, where he managed engineering teams for the search marketing division. Joseph attended Jerusalem College of Technology.

Stan Holt - Vice President, Publishing

Stan is responsible for developing and implementing eHarmony's content and community strategy, as well as for managing national advertising sales. Prior to joining eHarmony, Stan played a similar role as vice president of publishing at Internet Brands, which he helped expand from a single site, CarsDirect, to a network of 120 sites in the automotive, travel and home verticals. Prior to that, Stan was the general manager of the Los Angeles Times' calendarlive.com. Stan has an M.B.A. from UCLA and holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern. He also has a B.A. in urban affairs from Haverford College.

Antone Johnson - Vice President, Legal Affairs

Antone is responsible for managing eHarmony's legal and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining eHarmony, he spent ten years representing Internet content, access and e-commerce providers and other emerging growth technology companies in a broad range of corporate, commercial, and intellectual property matters. Most recently, Antone served as assistant general counsel at Intermix Media, Inc. and its MySpace.com subsidiary, where he helped execute the company's $650 million sale to Fox Interactive Media. Previously, he served as corporate counsel to Gemstar-TV Guide and Excite@Home. Antone began his career as an associate at major New York and Silicon Valley law firms. He holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in economics from Williams College.

Jim Lambert - Vice President, Human Resources

Jim is responsible for eHarmony's HR operations including employee relations, employee communications, compensation and benefits, and training and development. He also focuses much of his attention on the attraction, retention, and development of eHarmony's growing base of employees in an effort to promote eHarmony's unique company culture and brand. Jim's previous experience includes a mix of HR and operations positions with an emphasis on quality and process improvement. Prior to joining eHarmony, Jim held executive level HR and operations positions with hi-tech and manufacturing organizations including RealNetworks, Interland, and MicronPC. Jim holds an M.B.A. from Northwest Nazarene University and a B.B.A in human resources from Boise State University.

John Powers - Vice President, Finance and Administration

John manages eHarmony's finance and administrative functions and his objectives include continuing to develop the financial infrastructure to support eHarmony's rapid growth. Prior to joining eHarmony, John was chief financial officer for two venture-backed startups, Market Wire and TheSauce.com. Previously, John held senior financial management positions at Jamba Juice and DAKA International and started his career as a C.P.A. at Deloitte and Touche. John has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California.

Greg Smirin - Vice President, Emerging Services

Greg is responsible for identifying and developing eHarmony's emerging lines of business. Previously, Greg helped launch Proofpoint, Inc., a messaging security company, as vice president of marketing and products. Greg's career experience includes tenure at VeriSign running two of the company's most profitable lines of business – Web Trust Services and the International PKI Affiliate program – and serving as vice president of the company's European mass-markets organization. Greg was also the founding vice president of marketing at Quinstreet, Inc., a leading online direct marketing firm. Earlier in his career, Greg worked at Harvard Business School where he developed a state-of-the-art computing learning environment for the Executive Education program and wrote the school's first case study on the Internet, including its implications for business globally. He has a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College.

Jon Ward - Vice President, Corporate Development

An interactive media veteran, Jon leads eHarmony's partner and alliance efforts, forging relationships with both online and offline media brands that create substantial and lasting value for eHarmony and its members. Jon joined eHarmony after more than six years with America Online, where he held a variety of business development and operational roles, including vice president of business development for AOL's personal finance category. Prior to AOL, Jon was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, focused on technology and media. Jon holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a B.A. in English literature from Williams College.
